Overview

The department provides a broad range of services for diagnosis and treatment of various paediatric illnesses. The department is well equipped to handle all paediatric emergencies. The department has a PICU and NISC unit. Department has been handling and actively managing many underweight new born less than 1000 grams, the lowest being birth weight of 680 grams.

Department is taking community health programme in a big way to identify congenital disorders and identifying underweight children and correcting it. Department is also planning a strategy to identify children with low IQ and taking appropriate awareness and educational steps for further management of such cases.
